On October 24, 2024, the three classrooms at Rogers SDA Middle School in College Place, Washington, and the two classrooms of Milton-Stateline SDA School in Milton Freewater, Oregon, were alive with curiosity and excitement as the 5th to 8th grade students embarked on an unforgettable journey through our Mobile Classroom for a Healthy Lifestyle!
First, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Counselors and Administrators who welcomed us with open arms, allowing us to showcase this dynamic experience. Their support made it possible to inspire young minds in a truly interactive way.
The adventure began with a motorcycle demonstration—not just a lesson in mechanics, but a fascinating exploration of how the human body and motorcycle share similar structural components! Using a fun and engaging worksheet, students eagerly matched motorcycle parts to their biological counterparts, gaining a deeper appreciation for engineering and anatomy alike.
Then, stepping into the Mobile Classroom, students encountered two contrasting walls—the Drug Wall and the Healthy Lifestyle Wall. With worksheets in hand, they dove into the realities of choices. They identified harmful effects of substances listed on the Drug Wall, reinforcing the importance of staying informed. On the Healthy Lifestyle Wall, they embraced the uplifting power of positive habits, recording impactful insights that fuel a thriving, energetic life.
The students worked with determination and purpose, engaging in each activity with enthusiasm. Their willingness to learn, explore, and reflect on the paths ahead was truly inspiring. This event was a testament to growth, empowerment, and the power of making healthy choices! 🚀
